Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Jurnal Kesehatan Lingkungan (JKL) is a peer-reviewed journal that aims to be a leading platform and authoritative source of information in the field of environmental health. The journal publishes original research articles, review articles, and case studies focusing on environmental sanitation, health entomology, health microbiology, and related disciplines. All submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher. The journal adheres to the ethical standards and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Research Ethics: All research involving human participants or animals must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee. Authors must include a statement confirming ethical clearance and informed consent where applicable.
Data Integrity and Transparency: Authors are expected to ensure the accuracy and integrity of their data. Where applicable, authors should be prepared to provide raw data and supporting materials for editorial review.
Duties of Authors
• Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their research. Fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation is strictly prohibited.
• Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cited. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
• Multiple and Redundant Publication: Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously.
• Acknowledgement of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
• Authorship: Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions. All authors must approve the final manuscript.

Duties of Editors
• Publication Decisions: Editors are responsible for deciding which articles to publish based on scholarly merit.
• Fair Review: Manuscripts are evaluated without discrimination.
• Confidentiality: Editors must ensure confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
• Conflict of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal research.
Duties of Reviewers
• Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents.
• Objectivity: Reviews must be conducted objectively and constructively.

Duties of Publisher
• Handling Misconduct: In cases of alleged misconduct, the publisher and editors will investigate thoroughly and take appropriate actions, including correction, retraction, or withdrawal of the article.
• Archiving and Access: The publisher ensures long-term digital preservation and accessibility of published content.
